Meet the Founder
Hi, I’m Ansley, the founder of Roots for Sprouts. I work as an early childhood educator in Atlanta, with a focus on thoughtful, developmentally grounded learning. Experience in Reggio-inspired classrooms shapes my approach, with attention to curiosity, connection, and shaping a strong sense of self in young children.
My background includes the study of American roots music at Denison University and time in a traveling bluegrass band. Music remains a steady part of my life, offering a way to gather, connect, and create meaning through shared experience.
Roots for Sprouts grew from the intersection of my two passions, education and music. Each class introduces young children to rhythm, movement, and sound in a way that supports early language, social, and sensory development.
At its core, this work centers on giving children space to explore, participate, and feel at ease in music, long before performance or perfection enters the picture.
Who we are
Roots for Sprouts is a bluegrass-based music program for young children, designed with early childhood development at its core.
Each class blends rhythm, movement, and song to support coordination, language development, and social connection. Roots for Sprouts is a space for children to explore music in ways that feel natural, whether it’s by keeping a beat, listening closely, or simply participating alongside others.
Inspired by Reggio Emilia principles, we see children as capable and curious learners. Our classes are calm, intentional, and grounded in real developmental work.
Roots for Sprouts is a place for families to slow down, connect, and experience music together from the very beginning.
